Sesame Restaurant opened its doors in Dubai, captivating foodies with fresh dining concept that fills a gap in a food-conscious market such as Dubai’s.
“Sesame is a new crop of plant forward food, with combined cooking techniques, style and flavors from around the globe – we created Sesame ground up fueled by determination to share nourishing food,“ said founding partners Neha Jamani and Irina Sharma.
Neha, who studied to become a Holistic Chef at the Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition & Culinary Arts in Berkeley, California, says, “Sesame is a cozy, health-conscious restaurant committed to sharing clean, delicious, wholesome and living foods that nourish the body. Here, we offer dishes that not only focus on flavor and taste, but also share valuable insights on how they can have therapeutic applications for illness prevention, recovery and optimal health. There is no other restaurant that is as focused on the whole healthy eating concept as at Sesame.”
A renowned communications practitioner, educator and advocate of healthy longevity lifestyle, Irina says, “What makes Sesame distinctive from the diverse range of restaurants already operating in Dubai is its plant forward menu. It embraces honesty and transparency about the food which we create right from scratch. This goodness is about the way we operate, the infectious enthusiasm of our team who are readily on hand to walk you through the menu and share the spirit behind Sesame. To bring Sesame to life, Neha and Irina tapped into Chef Gohei Kishi, Food Development Consultant who is best known for his unconventional cooking methods and creativity in the kitchen. Chef Gohei brings his skills from his global experience working in Michelin Star restaurant Kappou Nakajima, Head of Asian Concept for Gordan Ramsay Group and Group Executive Chef for Ramasaki.
Sesame promises a fare made from scratch, as Neha and Irina say the menu will not follow any specific cuisine, but rather use familiar ingredients in fresh new ways. “The all-day nourishing menu is all about bright flavors, homemade spices & sauces with many different textures. It combines our love of buying local whenever possible, liberal use of vegetables and super foods and continuing to create better for you food “.
