Yes, yes…. We’ve all argued on it, discussed at length and eventually learnt to accept for what it is. Yes I’m talking about the age old battle of difference of opinion and perspective, due to a ‘generation gap’. And Aiyaary (English: Ultimate Trickery) is an Indian political thriller film written and directed by Neeraj Pandey rests its basis on this very concept.
Ever since the release of it’s promo, I’ve been waiting to watch this one. So of course, there are a bunch of reasons why we hubb this Neeraj Pandey release, but here are the top 3.
It’s a Neeraj Pandey release. Need I say more.
The director is here to tell a story and what a story-teller he is. Aiyaari revolves around Indian armed forces and a mentor-protege. After A Wednesday, Pandey directed Special 26, Baby and MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, and all the three films were a success at the Box Office. We await the public verdict for this one ….
The film has got an amazing starcast.
It is not every day that you get to see a film of this stature with powerhouses of talents being seen together in one single frame. It has a terrific ensemble. We have Anupam Kher, Naseeruddin Shah, Adil Hussain, Rakul Preet Singh and Kumud Mishra.
The hunk, Sidhart Malhotra, does a fab job
We’ve seen the actor grow steadily since his debut in 2012 with Student of the Year, to 2016s’ Kapoor & Sons, to 2018s’ Aiyaary. He doesn’t win our votes only because he looks terrific; he’s taking his acting skills and prowess to the next level.
And while the film delivers big on content, story-telling and good music, the director will agree that a tighter, crisper edit from a 160-minute length, to a 90-minute release would have benefitted.
Well it’s out in UAE theaters now, so go for yourself and decide.
